Disha’s 22nd Foundation Day

Disha has completed 22 years of rendering social and health development services in rural tribal areas of Darekasa.
On this occasion, the annual paediatric and ANC mothers’ check-up camp was organised. Eminent paediatricians and gynecologists from Gondia rendered thier selfless and valuable service to the people of this area.
Disha has also started a Dental check up unit which was donated to Disha and inaugrated by Dr.Ashok Gadekar sir on this day.
In this annual camp, total 137 patients were treated along with 42 dental patients, 40 skin patients and 34 ANCs done.
51 paediatric patients and 26 pathology tests were also conducted.
ANC mothers were provided with milk, Chikki and medicine kit from Disha. Paediatric patients were provided with a Chikki packet each.

All of them have worked relentlessly in this difficult time of lockdown , serving and treating difficult covid patients.
Our Arogya doots and Arogya sevikas work constantly all through the year and the work increases in monsoon season as Tendu patta collection and other farm work gets accelerated. Keeping in mind thier good health, Shri. Rajat Maitra has donated wind sheeters to all arogya doots and arogya sevikas.
Disha had been working continuously even during lockdown for health and community welfare of the tribal population. As part of the relief work, Disha also conducted blood donation camps where around 160-170 units of blood were donated to Gondia Blood bank.
Covid precautions were maintained and awareness was spread about covid in rural tribal population which resulted only in 8 covid cases in these adopted villages.
